City residents living in localized containment zones should cooperate with barangay officials and health workers by staying at home for the duration of their two-week quarantine, acting City Administrator Teddy Sabuga-a said Monday morning (Sept. 7).

´Duha man semana pagpuyo sa balay kinahanglan aron makalikay sa virus (COVID-19) og mohatag ayuda ang siyudad sa ila (Two weeks to stay at home is what´s needed from them to avoid contracting the virus and the city will give aid to them),´ Sabuga-a said during Monday morning´s flag-raising ceremony and program hosted by the city office of the Department of Interior and Local Governments (DILG).

At least 18 containment zones are in place in 12 of Cagayan de Oro City´s 80 barangays (villages) as of last Friday, Sept. 5 . Of that number, two are in Barangay Gusa, two are in Indahag, two are in Puntod, two in Barangay 26, two in Barangay Macabalan and one each in Barangays Kauswagan, Cugman, Sitio Macanhan, Carmen, Bugo, Bayabas, Nazareth and Lumbia.

While Sabuga-a called for assistance from barangay officials to bolster active surveillance of containment zones in their areas, he also lauded anew the medical frontliners who work 24/7 to care for confirmed COVID-19 cases and persons who had contact with the patients. #StopCOVID19 #DisiplinaMuna #AntiCOVID19 #COVID19WatchCDO #LGUCDOcampaign #Yourgovernmentatwork #Kaabag #Hapsay #CDOCityHallCollaboration #TheBiggerPictureForCDO #NagkahiusaBatokCOVID-19
